God sent Good News into the world through His
Son, Jesus Christ. The release for those who are
held captive has come and is alive today. Without
Jesus, there is no Eternal hope. Without Jesus,
there can be no real lasting happiness. Without
Jesus, there is no Freedom, for we are prisoners
of sin.
Here's
what the Bible says about release from sin:
• We are separated from God-"For the wages of sin is death, but the
free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
our Lord." Romans 6:23
"For all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God." Romans 3:23
•We
are not able to save ourselves-"There
is a way which seems right to a man, but its end
is the way of death." Proverbs
14:12 "All of us like sheep have gone
astray, each of us has turned to his own way;
but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all
to fall on him." Isaiah 53:6
•
God has a solution-"For Christ
also died for sins once for all, the just for
the unjust in order that He might bring us to
God, having been put to death in the flesh, but
made alive in the Spirit." I
Peter 3:18 "But God demonstrates His
own love toward us, in that while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us." Romans
5:8 "For Whoever Will Call
Upon The Name Of The Lord Will Be Saved."
Romans 10:13 "For God
so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him shuld not perish
but have eternal life." John 3:16
•We
must respond-"For by grace
you have been saved through faith; and that not
of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a
result of works, that no one should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9 "Repent
therefore and return that you sins may be wiped
away, in order that the times of refreshing may
come from the presence of the Lord." Acts
3:19 "That if you confess with your
mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be
saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting
in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,
resulting in salvation." Romans
10:9-10
Steps
to Salvation
1. Admit you're a sinner.
2. Turn from your sins, repent.
3. Believe in Jesus Christ and His death on the
cross and resurrection from the dead.
4. In prayer, confess your sins to Him and invite
Him into your life through the Holy Spirit.
