Tom was born in 1942 and raised in New Jersey. Graduating from high school in 1961, he served three years as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Army and married his high school sweetheart, Karen, in 1963. They have two grown daughters, Vicki and Donna, and one amazing grandson, Lane Thomas Nolan.
Tom spent 17 years in law enforcement, and in 1981 went to work in Tulsa, Oklahoma for Southwestern Bell Telephone Asset Protection-Security Department. In 1984, Tom and Karen moved to Corpus Christi, where Tom was saved by our Lord Jesus Christ. They moved to San Antonio in 1985 and joined First Baptist Church.
Tom and Karen have been members of the Alamo City Christian Fellowship since the first day it was formed. He retired from SBC in November of 2000. In October of 2001 he became the Men's Ministry Coordinator, until January of 2006 when he became the Assistant to the Pastor. Tom oversees the Usher/Greeter Ministry, the New Members classes, and, along with Karen, the New Believers (Christianity for Dummies) class.
Tom loves to spend time with his family, eating pizza every Saturday with Lane, and playing golf.
