Welcome
Whether this is the first time you have ever considered coming to church or you grew up on the first pew, Welcome to Alamo City Christian Fellowship Women's Ministry. There is a place here for you right where you are in life: young or old, single or married. We are about encouraging you to know Jesus in the midst of your everyday life and circumstances. However you spend your time, a woman in the work world, one who is in school, a single woman, a stay-at-home mom, an empty nester, a widow or, one of our senior saints, we long for you to know His presence, His power and His peace smack dab in the middle of your daily routine. Don't believe the lie that you have to have it all together to be part of this place. You are invited to participate, warts and all. You are in the midst of women who are eager to share how Jesus has not only made a difference in their lives but, has literally given them new lives. Intimidation or shame may try their best to push you back from participating but we urge you to come right in and make yourself at home.
There are a wide variety of activities and Bible studies for you to pick from. We sprinkle activities throughout the week so you can pick a time that meets your needs.
Consider yourself invited and welcomed by our group of women who will be eager to hug your neck and encourage your heart in Jesus.
If you have any questions please call me at (210) 654-7880 or email me at lidas@alamocity.org
Heart to Heart Women's Dinner and Fellowship - Monday, January 14, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Join us for a time of enrichment and relationships as we gather for dinner and an evening of fellowship, worship and teaching. Since we sit around small tables, there is ample opportunity to get to know women beyond the surface greeting that we often have on Sunday mornings. You will have time to talk and share your story as well as time to hear the stories of those women sharing the same journey as you. "Responding to the Call of Servanthood" is the theme for this year. Our prayer for every woman is that you learn what it means to be a servant and that you will respond to the call on your life. Childcare provided for infants through fifth grade. Dinner is $5. Meeting the second Monday of the month, September through May.

Forgiven & Set Free -Many women bear a secret shame of a past abortion(s). In fact, statistics say, one in three are walking around with this secret which can hinder their personal walk with God and steal their joy. Are you carrying that secret, living with chains of guilt and shame from the past? If so, let me encourage you to begin "Forgiven and Set Free." Find healing and wholeness as you enter into this post-abortion Bible Study offered in a safe and understanding environment. If you struggle with issues involving secrecy, anger, guilt, shame, condemnation, or forgiveness pertaining to your abortion(s), this study is for you.
We will hold a mini-retreat on Saturday, September 29 for those attending the fall classes which will start on Tuesday, October 2. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 2. Your name will be kept confidential.
"And I will turn their shame into praise and renown in all the earth." Zephaniah 3:19
His Way -Our vision is for this to be an ongoing ministry to women, offering a permanent life-style change in eating habits, grounded in Scripture and under the authority and direction of the Holy Spirit. This will be in an environment that is Christ-centered where we can come for guidance and teaching, accountability, encouragement and prayer. This class meets in W141-2 (We also meet on Sunday mornings in N128-1).
Redeeming & Restoring Hearts -Have you been abused? Are you having trouble moving forward in life? Do you struggle with betrayal, shame, fear, guilt, loneliness and other destructive behaviors? These kinds of symptoms and tendencies are barriers that affect how you respond to everyday circumstances and relationships. Come let our Lord Jesus Christ heal, redeem and restore you to the abundant life He promises you in His Word. Confidentiality will be guarded and protected.

Heartlinks -A ministry to families in mourning. - If you have a heart to serve, this may be just the right place for you. You are invited to join this group of women who prepare and serve the meal to the family after the funeral service for our members.
The Grandmother Ministry -Oh the joy of being a grandmother! You have an opportunity to affect generations as you don the hat of a grandmother and "adopt" families for your very own as you choose to minister in a variety of ways. You hold the power as a blood or an adopted granny to spread Jesus' love and touch deep places in hearts. Choose between reading with preschoolers, helping elementary students with crafts, cooking for teens, making treats for nursery workers, taking a meal to a new mom, hostess the cry room or greeting new moms and dads in the Worship Center on Sunday mornings.
